JS budget session begins this afternoon

The 13th session (Budget) of the 11th Jatiya Sangsad will begin this afternoon today following health guidelines.

President M Abdul Hamid called the session as per the power bestowed on him by the constitution.

Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury will preside over the session that will begin at 5:00pm. Due to coronavirus pandemic, this short session will last for 12 working days.

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal will place the national budget of 2021-2022, country’s 50th and also 21st budget by the incumbent government led by the Awami League, at 3:00pm tomorrow (Thursday) for three consecutive times.

Earlier, the budget session for the current fiscal year (FY2020-2021) began on June 10 last year amid the Coronavirus pandemic and the budget was placed on 11 June.
